Today was a very special day for Awakening Church of God. For the first time the church was a copartner with the Bulgarian Red Cross in a blood donation initiative. The believers were informed in advance that they can come at the Theological College building at 10:00 a.m. and can donate blood. Other local congregations such as Zion Christian Church also accepted the offer to participate in the initiative.
         It was amazing that more than 35 people showed up during the day and offered to donate blood. Most of them were eager to do this, since they felt that it is a very special thing and that it is worth their efforts. While some were donating blood in one room, the others were having fellowship and enjoyed each others’ company. It was amazing to see these wonderful brothers and sisters having fun, and doing something that can help people in need.
         While the blood donation was going on, upstairs members of Awakening Church of God were having fun together, playing games and having conversations. It was so good to be together that we decided to have the College opened for Saturdays and to invite the believers to come if they wish and to spend some time together, to bring their kids and relatives and friend for a fun experience, This is one good decision that we made at Awakening, and we hope that it will help strengthen the ties between the Christians in our church.
